Specialists with over 60 years of combined experience in all aspects of high-risk pregnancy management and consultative services. Their experience, expertise and qualified staff combine to provide the necessary care for you and your baby during this very special time. Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists are obstetrician/ gynecologists who have received two to three years of additional education and practical experience to gain special competence in various obstetrical, medical and surgical complications of pregnancy. Our Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists have the expertise required to provide care to both mother and fetus in complicated pregnancies. The Regional Perinatal Center is equipped with
state-of-the-art ultrasound systems. Ultrasonography is the visualization of deep structures of the body by recording the reflections or echoes of pulses of ultrasonic waves directed into the tissues. These reflections produce an image which assists the physician in determining gestational age, assessing fetal anatomy and evaluating structures which surround the fetus.
